Pedestrian points gun at passing vehicles on U.S. 195
A female pedestrian was pointing a gun at passing vehicles Monday evening on Highway 195 south of Spokane, according to a Washington State Patrol news release.
According to a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office news release, a deputy shot the suspect, who was transported to a local hospital. The suspect’s condition wasn’t released.
No deputies were shot in the incident, which is being investigated by the Spokane Investigative Regional Response Team.
Washington State Patrol troopers and Spokane County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. North and south lanes of Highway 195 were closed at Excelsior Road while investigators examined the scene.
