Four corners: Eastern Washington Eagles

Coming up: Tonight at Montana, 6 p.m.; Saturday at Montana State, 1:35 p.m.

Outlook: Tonight’s game in Missoula marks the midway point of the 18-game Big Sky Conference season. More importantly, it’s a chance for the Eagles to earn a key road game and put two games between themselves and the Grizzlies ahead of next week’s showdown with Sacramento State. Both teams are coming off emotional games: EWU with an overtime thriller over Idaho and Montana with a one-point loss at Sacramento State. The Eagles are saddled with two key injuries. Forward Venky Jois appears almost fully recovered from an ankle injury suffered three weeks ago, but guard Tyler Harvey, the national scoring leader, missed practice Monday and Tuesday with a bruised right quadriceps. “He won’t be 100 percent, but I’ll take Tyler Harvey on the floor anytime,” coach Jim Hayford said. The Grizzlies lead the league in scoring defense (58.7 ppg) and are scoring with the one-two punch of forward Martin Bruenig (17.9 ppg in Big Sky play) guard Jordan Gregory (16.8).
