Hornets continue best Division I start

Mikh McKinney scored 10 of his 17 points in the second half to help Sacramento State hang on for a 64-60 win over Portland State in Sacramento, California.

Dylan Garrity added 16 points for Sacramento State, which is off to its best start since moving to Division I in 1991. Braxton Tucker led Portland State with 18 points.

Northern Colorado 84, Southern Utah 80: Tevin Svihovec scored 21 points, Cameron Michael added 20 and the Bears outlasted the Thunderbirds in Cedar City, Utah.

A.J. Hess led Southern Utah with 18 points.

Weber State 70, Idaho State 63: Jeremy Senglin scored a career-high 30 points, including 14-for-15 shooting from the line, to lead the Wildcats to a win over the Bengals in Pocatello, Idaho.

Chris Hansen paced Idaho State with 22 points, Jeffrey Solarin added 16 and 15 rebounds.

Northern Arizona 88, North Dakota 63: Kris Yanku scored 26 points, including a career-high 14 from the free-throw line, and added nine assists to help the Lumberjacks beat North Dakota at Flagstaff, Arizona.

Aaseem Dixon scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Northern Arizona.
