Obituary: Fritsch, Alice Mae

Age 86

FRITSCH, Alice Mae (Age 86) Alice passed away surroun-ded by her family on February 13, 2015.

She was born in Spokane, Washington in a private home on June 27, 1928 to Archie and Mary Logsdon along with three sisters, Pat (deceased), Ethel (deceased), and Bev (Spokane).

She grew up north of Davenport, Washington and attended Davenport, Sprague, and Edwall public schools.

She attended Spokane Community College.

Mom married Gordon Fritsch of Edwall and they had three sons: Ron (Elizabeth) Fritsch, Doug (Cindy) Fritsch, and Ted (Adele) Fritsch.

She has eight grandchildren: Mary Carpenter, Wesley Fritsch, Lara Newburn, Meghan Fritsch, Alicelena Mae Fritsch (stillborn), Gordon Fritsch, Cody Smedley, and Lisa Gould; six great-grandchildren: Micah Carpenter, Isaiah Carpenter, Anna Carpenter, Clara Carpenter, Liam McDonald, and Reese Gould.

Mom worked for DSHS at Lakeland Village for 28 years.

She retired in 1994.

She was an Attendant Counselor (AC 1-11) and loved working with residents at Lakeland.

She loved her family.

Her hobbies were raising children, playing the piano, sewing, and she enjoyed being a Cub Scout den mother.

Mom was active in the ladies club, SEFELO, in Edwall.

She believed and practiced her Christian faith and attended Protestant and Catholic churches throughout her lifetime.

She taught Sunday school at Edwall Methodist Church in the 1950s.

Thank you to all Sacred Heart Staff that took care of Mom during her stay.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe, on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2PM.
