Obituary: Haenle, Dorothy Mae

HAENLE, DOROTHY MAE (Age 89) Dorothy passed away on January 21, 2015.

She was raised in the Midwest and she moved to Spokane in 1962.

Dorothy was a Girl Scout Leader for many years, and also volunteered to support Easter Seals.

Her husband, Robert, passed away in 1988.

Dorothy was an Occupational Therapist for the Spokane School District for many years.

After taking computer classes, she developed computer adaptation techniques in order to train the handicapped children on how they could use computers in their lives.

In her spare time, she loved hiking, camping and canoeing, and particularly loved spending time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Alice and her spouse Cheryl, and Carol and her spouse Jake.

Prior to her health failing, Dorothy was an active member of Audubon Park United Methodist Church for forty years.

She requested that in lieu of flowers, to please donate in her name to Audubon Park United Methodist Church, 3908 N. Driscoll Blvd., Spokane, WA 99205.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 1:00pm at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 7315 N. Wall St., Spokane, WA 99208.
