Students will design, carve and print a one-color image using an easy-to-cut block and will leave class with a stack of one-of-a-kind notecards to send to family and friends. July 10, August 7, 21. 1-4:30 p.m. $35 for each workshop. Relief Printing for Fabric Workshop: For students age 16 to adult. Take your relief prints to the next level by applying your design to fabric. Students will learn how to print their existing linoleum blocks on to T-shirts, tote bags or other fabric items using a textile-safe ink. Thursday, August 20. 3-5 p.m. $20 for each workshop. Jery Haworth: Creating with Charcoal: Experience the power and subtlety of this ancient medium for image making. Create shape, form and movement in your art. Individual style and content will be encouraged. Supply list available. For teen and adult students. 10 a.m.-noon, Fridays through Aug. 7. $120.

Learn to Paint like a Master: Participants will paint in the style of one of the great masters. The July class features Matisse. Artist Laurel Macdonald will lead the series on the last Thursday of each month. Participants can be beginners or at any level of experience. July 30, 6-9 p.m. $39, includes prepared canvas, paint, tools, one beverage and snacks. Summer Creativity Program: For six consecutive Thursdays, children aged 6 to 12 enjoy two topics each afternoon. July 16: Nancy Attebury, glass etching, and Debi Robinson-Smith, pop-up cards; July 23: Carole Galloway, clay project, and Debi Robinson-Smith, masks; July 30: Sarah Nagle, upcycled wind chimes, and Laurel Macdonald, hemp bead bracelets; Aug. 6: Carole Galloway, clay project, and Debi Robinson-Smith, nature prints; Aug. 13: Sarah Nagle, string art, and Jeanne Wood, drawing and embellishing castles; Aug. 20: Debi Robinson-Smith, mobiles, and Sarah Nagle, koi painted on a rock. 1-3:45 p.m. $18 per child per afternoon.

Let’s Paint with Tresia Oosting – Color mixing, drawing and painting classes for children ages 4-7. Each week will feature a different project. Call for artists

McEuen Park Wall – The City of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission is seeking artists for the McEuen Park Wall. There is no theme to this call to artists, allowing for open interpretation and creativity to make a lasting impression on residents and visitors. Information packets are available at City Hall, 710 E. Mullan Avenue, Coeur d’Alene, or online at www.cdaid.org. Artists may submit up to three designs, and proposals are due Aug. 28. First Night Spokane Juried Art Show – Visit FirstNightSpokane.org for an application form and entry details. Artists will submit digital images via email to gina@firstnightspokane.org. There is an entry fee of $5.00 for each item entered (two entries per person allowed). Send check or money order to: First Night Spokane, P.O. Box 977, Spokane, WA 99210. ArtCurrents Program – The City of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission is seeking artists for its ArtCurrents Program. The program consists of sculptures on loan from artists around the country. Information packets are available at City Hall or online at www.cdaid.org. Artist proposals are due by 5 p.m. July 10.
