Whitworth University’s Dakota Kliamovich, of Liberty Lake, has been named to the Academic All-America track and field second team after finishing with a 4.0 GPA as a double major in biology and psychology.

Kliamovich finished fifth in the women’s’ hammer throw at the 2014 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship meet in Canton, New York, in May, earning her second career All-America finish in the event. She also holds the school record with a throw of 179-11 in 2014.

• The Washington State swim team has earned the Team Scholar All-America honors for the spring 2015 semester.

The Cougars earned the honor for the fourth consecutive semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.04. They were one of 406 swimming and diving programs recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.

• Washington State athletes DaVonte Lacy and Nicole Setterlund were selected to receive the 2014-15 Pac-12 Tom Hansen Conference Medal.

Lacy, of Tacoma, holds the school record for career 3-pointers with 249. He also was a All-Pac-12 first-team selection in 2015.

Setterlund, of Surrey, British Columbia, helped lead the women’s soccer team to four straight NCAA tournament appearances. She was drafted by the Chicago Red Stars in the third round of the 2015 NWSL college draft.
