Art on the Green Festival - July 31-Aug. 2. 47th annual outdoor art gallery and marketplace. There will be food, live music, hands-on art activities for children and more. Hours are Friday, noon-7:30 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Plenty of parking and shuttle bus service to the west side of the NIC campus from downtown is also available during the festival. Sandpoint Arts and Crafts Fair - Aug. 8-9. This two-day event features artists and artisans from across the West. Featuring artist booths, food vendors, live performances, a youth art arena with hands-on activities, and artist demonstrations throughout the weekend. Nancy Lee Chong’s “Finding Time to Make Quilts” - A humorous look at how to become more efficient with both time and space in order to become a more productive quiltmaker. Coeur d’Alene Garden Tour 2015 - The tour will feature six gardens, all diverse with ideas to take home. Live music and artisan vendors will be stationed throughout the gardens with garden-related items for sale, including the Collector’s Garden Poster. This is a self-guided tour so guests can begin and end as they wish. Maps are included on the tickets. Proceeds of the tour benefit local charities and NIC Dual Enrollment Scholarships. Art for the Animals: A Starry Night Celebration With the Animals of River’s Wish (Rescheduled from July 11) - Fifth annual benefit for River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary. Music, refreshments, art and items for auction. Self-guided tours of the sanctuary will allow people to meet the animals that this event benefits in the efforts of saving lives through rescue, education and advocacy. Twilight Memorial - Pet owners can honor their past furry friends. The evening begins with a brief reflection on loving and losing four-legged companions followed by a luminary lighting. Come Feed the Buffalo - Through Sept. 30. Take a tour at Win-Tur Bison Farm. Visitors learn the farm’s history and bison facts during a slide presentation and Q&A session, as well as the opportunity to meet and greet the herd and hand-feed the buffalo.
