Art on the Green Festival – Friday-Aug. 2. 47th annual celebration transforming the NIC campus into an outdoor art gallery and marketplace with hundreds of artists, food, live music, and hands-on art activities for children. Hours are Friday, noon-7:30 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; and Aug. 2, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Parking and shuttle bus service to the west side of the NIC campus from downtown is also available during the festival. Sandpoint Arts and Crafts Fair - Aug. 8-9. This two-day event features artists and artisans from across the West, food vendors, live performances, a youth art arena with hands-on activities, and artist demonstrations. Tree School - An educational conference for arborists, foresters, forest landowners, and backyard gardeners. Twilight Memorial - Pet owners can honor their past furry friends. The evening begins with a brief reflection on loving and losing four-legged companions followed by a luminary lighting. Come Feed the Buffalo - Through Sept. 30. Come take a tour at Win-Tur Bison Farm. Visitors learn the farm’s history and bison facts during a slide presentation and Q&A session, as well as the opportunity to hand-feed the buffalo.
