Obituary: Gale, Virginia Frances (Ward) “Gena”
Age 85
She was born August 4, 1929, to Patrick Ward and Rosabelle Massey Larsen in Anaconda, MT.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years George D. Gale, her parents Patrick and Rosabelle, her daughter Nancy McKernan, and her granddaughter Kathleen Crider.
Gena grew up in Anaconda where she graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1948.
She enjoyed the outdoors, being at the lake, camping at Lolo Hot Springs, having a picnic at Washoe Park, or looking at Mount Haggin.
Later in life, she devoted much of her time to her grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Gena is survived by her three children: son Patrick Conwell (Melanie) of Paducah, KY, daughter Christine Michaels (Frank) of Chicago, IL, and daughter Georgia Gauron (Paul) of Spokane; sister Patsy Lathrope of Anaconda, MT; grandchildren Erin Conwell, Kyle and Kevin Michaels, Kelly Hewelt, Larissa Conwell, and Matthew McKernan.
She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015, 10:30am, Assumption Catholic Church, and inurnment will be held at Mt.
Olivet Cemetery, Anaconda, MT, at a later date.
A reception will follow at Mama Mia’s immediately following the Mass.
