Auditions

“Anne of Green Gables” StageWest Community Theatre is holding open auditions for its next play, “Anne of Green Gables.” Cast of five girls, two boys, one man and three women needed. Upcoming classes include: Art Among the Animals with Kit and Pete Jagoda: Art Among the Animals: Get to know the rescued animals who call River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary home. Students will be sketching, working with metal tooling and painting. For ages 8 and older. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary, 11511 W. Garfield Road. $70 plus $15 lab fee. Introduction to Relief Printing Workshop: Lindsey Merrell will teach students 16 and older the art of relief printmaking. Saturday, July 18, August 15. 1-5 p.m. $40 for each workshop. Relief Printing for Fabric Workshop: For students age 16 to adult. Students will learn how to print their existing linoleum blocks on to T-shirts, tote bags or other fabric items using a textile-safe ink. July 9 and August 20. 3-5 p.m. $20 for each workshop. Jery Haworth: Creating with Charcoal: Create shape, form and movement in your art. For teen and adult students. Today, July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. 10 a.m.-noon. $120.
