NFL notes: AP source: Reggie Bush agrees to contract with 49ers

Ap

A person with knowledge of the agreement has told The Associated Press that free agent running back Reggie Bush has reached a deal with the San Francisco 49ers.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity Saturday and didn’t provide details. Bush visited the team Wednesday and could be seen touring outside Levi’s Stadium with new San Francisco coach Jim Tomsula. Bush joins a Niners team that lost Frank Gore in free agency to the Colts, left guard Mike Iupati to the Arizona Cardinals and a pair of cornerbacks who are now gone, too – Chris Culliver and Perrish Cox.

Five-time All Pro linebacker Patrick Willis retired on Tuesday.

Bush played in only 11 games with nine starts last season with the Lions because of injuries. He carried 76 times for 297 yards and two touchdowns.

He posted Saturday on Twitter, “The best is yet to come (hashtag)49ers.”

Also, the 49ers announced they have signed cornerback Shareece Wright to a one-year contract.

K.C. re-signs Parker

The Kansas City Chiefs are bringing back versatile defensive back Ron Parker on a five-year, $30 million contract, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Chiefs have not announced the deal.

Justin Turner, who represents Parker, fielded no shortage of offers for the fourth-year pro after a breakout year with the Chiefs. Parker split time at cornerback and safety. He finished with 94 tackles and an interception.

Buffalo signs Wynn

The Buffalo Bills have agreed to terms with defensive end Jarius Wynn.

In 11 games, Wynn had 17 tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss and one fumble recovery in his first season with the Bills.

The Green Bay Packers’ sixth-round draft pick out of Georgia in 2009, Wynn also played for the Tennessee Titans (2012), San Diego Chargers (2013) and Dallas Cowboys (2013).
