Receiver Bowe signs with Browns

Ap

The Browns signed free-agent wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, a down-the- field target to help their passing game.

Bowe spent the previous eight seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. The 30-year-old’s 532 receptions are the second-most in club history and he scored 44 touchdowns.

The Browns have been in need of a No. 1 wide receiver since former Pro Bowler Josh Gordon was suspended by the NFL for the 2015 season for drug violations.

Browns general manager Ray Farmer says Bowe is a player who “adds a big, tough and physical presence to our group.”

Bowe scored 15 touchdowns in 2010, but has scored only 13 times in the past four seasons. He has had two 1,000-yard seasons and at least 57 catches in each of the past three seasons.

Seahawks re-sign long snapper Gresham

The Seahawks re-signed long snapper Clint Gresham to a new contract.

Gresham posted an image of the contract signing on Instagram on Friday. It’s a three-year contract worth $2.7 million total and a $300,000 signing bonus.

Gresham has been with the Seahawks since the 2010 season, appearing in every game during that time.

Seattle has kept all of its specialists together for the past four seasons with Gresham, punter Jon Ryan and kicker Steven Hauschka.

Seattle also officially announced the signing of defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin, who spent the previous seven seasons with Cleveland.

Colts agree to terms with LB Nate Irving

The Indianapolis Colts agreed to terms with unrestricted free-agent linebacker Nate Irving.

Irving spent the past four seasons with the Denver Broncos, where he had 104 tackles, two sacks and 22 special teams stops in 54 regular-season games, including 12 starts. In six playoff games, he added nine more tackles.

Irving started the first eight games last season and posted a career-high 44 tackles along with a sack before being placed on injured reserve Nov. 13.

Irving was a third-round draft pick by Denver in 2011 out of North Carolina State.

Dolphins re-sign safety Louis Delmas

Safety Louis Delmas is back with the Miami Dolphins, which means he’ll be reunited with former teammate Ndamukong Suh.

Delmas, who is recovering from a knee injury, signed a one-year deal to stay with the Dolphins. Last week Miami signed All-Pro defensive tackle Suh to a $114 million, six-year contract.

Suh played with Delmas in Detroit in 2010-13.

The Dolphins also re-signed backup quarterback Matt Moore and reserve running back LaMichael James to one-year contracts.

Moore has been with the Dolphins since 2011.
