3: ‘This is Spinal Tap’

4: Spokane Symphony Classics 8: Eastern Journeys
The orchestra explores the sounds of the Middle East, with Iranian composer Behzad Ranjbaran’s interpretation of the epic poem “Shahnameh, the Persian Odyssey,” Mohammed Fairouz’s take on Tahrir Square in his new work for clarinet and orchestra, and Leonard Bernstein’s choral masterpiece “The Chichester Psalms.” Also on the playbill is Ana Lara’s “Angels of Darkness & Dawn.”

5: ‘God of Carnage’
Winner of three Tony Awards, this complex comedy is a study of the tension between civilized surface and savage instinct. Conflict takes place as two couples meet to discuss their children’s playground altercation. Once the rum takes over and the queasy stomach kicks in, the gloves come off and diplomacy is thrown out the window. Contains adult themes and language. Performances are Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m.

6: 56th Annual Gem, Jewelry and Mineral Show
