Obituary: Collins, Elnor Lyn Montrose “Ellie”

Age 74

COLLINS, Elnor Lyn Montrose “Ellie” (Age 74) Died on October 28, 2015 in Spokane, WA.

She was born on July 19, 1941 in Shelton, WA to Leonard and Doris Buck.

She graduated from Shelton High School in 1959.

She married Edward Collins in 1979.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her husband, Edward Collins of Nine Mile Falls, WA; her brother, Bert Buck (Bev) of Tacoma, WA; her four sons, Michael Hyland (Bobby) of Waterford, WI, Leonard Hyland (Melissa) of Blythewood, SC, Thomas Hyland (Amy) of Kenosha, WI, Robert Collins (Shawn) of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Norman Buck (Nell) of Gulf Breeze, FL.

Mrs. Collins was a lifelong quilter.

She loved making quilts for others and participating in quilting retreats with friends.

She frequently traveled the country visiting quilt shops to purchase unique fabric.

She was a collector of Elvis memorabilia.

She also enjoyed cruising the Caribbean.

Mrs. Collins was the sparkle at every party.

She loved to celebrate - “any reason was a great reason.”

Mrs. Collins will be buried in a private ceremony at the Quilcene Cemetery, Quilcene, WA.
