Obituary: Lecaire, Oliver Raymond “Noonie”

Age 93

LECAIRE, Oliver Raymond “Noonie” Oliver was born on October 8, 1922, and was called home on October 25, 2015.

He was raised in Northport, WA, and grad- uated from Northport High School.

After serving his country in the United States Army during World War II, he married Eva Scheideman on September 10, 1949, and they resided in Spokane, WA, for the past 66 years.

He retired from Citizens Realty Company in 1987 after working 31 years in a managerial position.

Oliver was a man with an incredibly strong work ethic who was recognized for his honesty, wisdom, and kindheartedness.

His family meant the world to him and their needs were always placed before his own.

Oliver never said an unkind word about anyone and always listened more than he spoke, stating, “You never learn anything by talking.”

He enjoyed fixing and building things around their house and the homes of others.

He also enjoyed going on travels with his family and had a fascination with classic cars and attending car shows.

One of his proudest moments was visiting Washington, D.C., with The Honor Flight in 2013 with his grandson Dustin serving as his guardian.

Oliver is survived by his loving wife Eva, daughter JoAnne and her husband Gary, and his grandson and best buddy Dustin.

Also surviving are his sister Eileen Norman of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Oliver will be greatly missed by his family, but we will be forever grateful for the example he set for us all.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to The Honor Flight Society, 608 W. Second Ave, Suite 309, Spokane, WA 99201.

A private family inurnment is planned.
