Obituary: Theodorson, Norma Jean
Age 82
The daughter of Fred and Marguerite Hammack, she was born December 9, 1932 in Ashland, OR and raised in Salem, OR.
She met the love of her life, Dean, when she was 12 years old while he was delivering the newspaper to her house.
After graduating high school, they were married on August 30, 1950.
Norma and Dean moved to Opportunity (Spokane Valley), WA in March 1956.
After raising three children, Norma worked for a short time at Atlas Boiler & Equipment.
She then went to work as a cook for the Central Valley School District where she retired as head cook at Blake Elementary.
She loved to sew, cook (especially for the holidays), watch Gonzaga basketball, and be with her family.
Norma is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dean; two sons: Steve (Lori), and Jim (Joy) both of Spokane Valley; her daughter, Barbara Ferris (Abe), Bellingham, WA; grandchildren: Beth, Sarah, Ryan, Robert, James, Michael, Daniel, Matthew, Jacob and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jim.
The family will have a private celebration of Norma’s life.
