Shock IFL schedule: Rinse and repeat

Spokane will become very familiar with its West Division rivals in its first season in the Indoor Football League.

The Shock will face West foes Tri-Cities and Billings four times each. Spokane will open the season against the visiting Fever on Feb. 27 at the Arena. The teams tangle again on April 23 and May 28 in Tri-Cities and in Spokane on May 20.

After a bye, Spokane visits Billings in Week 3. Those teams also square off May 7 and June 4 in Spokane and close the 16-game regular-season schedule June 25 in Billings. The Shock’s second bye is in Week 4.

Spokane has home-and-home matchups with fellow Intense Conference foes Colorado and Wichita Falls, including consecutive dates against the latter on June 11 and 18.

Spokane has solo games against Iowa (April 1), Sioux Falls (April 16) and Minnesota (April 29) of the Midwest Division. Spokane and Iowa met six times as Arena Football League members from 2010-14. Sioux Falls has won five straight United Bowl titles.

The playoffs, which will include three teams from the Intense and United conferences, will begin on the July 8th weekend following a break for July 4th.
