Spokane Valley man sentenced for pharmacy robberies

A Spokane Valley man was sentenced to just over eight years in prison Tuesday for a pharmacy robbery spree that spanned North Dakota, Montana, Idaho and Washington.

Brian J. Lindsey, 25, also was ordered to pay nearly $16,000 in restitution and serve three years of probation after his release, according to a news release from the Idaho U.S. Attorney’s office.

Lindsey often would demand specific drugs in order to feed his drug addiction, according to the news release. He pleaded guilty to interference with commerce by robbery in July.

He was arrested in Coeur d’Alene in January after robbing a Walgreen’s there. At the time, police said he was also a suspect in three Spokane County robberies and an attempted robbery in Post Falls.
