Idaho men’s basketball tops Saint Martin’s in exhibition game

Victor Sanders scored a team-high 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting and Idaho erased an early seven-point deficit and beat Saint Martin’s 86-62 in a men’s basketball exhibition game Friday at Memorial Gym in Moscow, Idaho.
Jordan Scott and Perrion Callandret each added 10 points for the Vandals and Chris Sarbaugh dished out a game-high eight assists.
Idaho shot 50 percent from the field (36 of 72), outrebounded the Saints 58-28 and held a 38-10 points-in-the-paint advantage. Saint Martin’s Trey Ingram had 16 points, Tyler Copp had 11 and Jordan Kitchen added 10.
The Vandals play another exhibition game next Friday at home against Lewis-Clark State. Their official season opener is Nov. 14 against San Jose State in San Jose, California.
