Free balance screens at APEX

All APEX Physical Therapy locations in Spokane County are providing free quick balance screens this week in coordination with Balance Awareness Week.

Dizziness is a common problem for people and is associated with an increased risk of falls and fractures, said physical therapist Megan Lusk of APEX. She said that vestibular disorders with balance and dizziness are the primary symptoms she treats.

The free screenings are available at the North Spokane, Cheney, Airway Heights and Medical Lake locations from noon to 1 p.m. all week. Screenings on Friday also are available by appointment at the north Spokane location from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
