Area roundup: Overland’s goal wins it for Washington State

Alysha Overland headed in a rebound at 38:01 for the game’s only goal and Washington State upset 13th-ranked Santa Clara in soccer Thursday in Pullman.

The best chance for the Broncos (2-1-0) to tie came in the 84th. Jordan Jesolva had her shot blocked back to her but her second chance went straight to Dederick
