Girls basketball: Lewis and Clark fall to Regis Jesuit at The Fitz tourney

Regis (Colorado) at Lewis and Clark: Jacinta Buckley scored 17 points but Lewis and Clark (1-1) fell to Regis Jesuit (Colorado) 55-44 in the Fitz.

Regis is ranked No. 7 and winners of three state titles since 2009 in Colorado 5A.

Jasmine Gaines had 16 points and Francesca Belibi added 14 for Regis.

Kaylee Bishop had 11 for the Tigers.

Bothell at University: Keyonna Jones had 15 points to help Bothell beat the Titans (1-1) at The Fitz tourney.

Ellie Boni brought in six points and nine rebounds for University, while teammate Kinsley Barington nailed six points and seven rebounds.

Oregon State commit Taya Corosbaly scored 14 points for Bothell.

Timberlake 54, Gonzaga Prep 48: Allison Kirby scored 18 points, Keelie Lawler added 13 and the visiting Tigers outdueled the Bullpups (1-1).

Molly McDermontt scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for G-Prep.

Mead 53, Davis 32: Aaliyah Pauling scored 12 points with seven rebounds and the Panthers (1-1) beat the Pirates in Yakima.

Davis did not earn a trip to the free throw line in a clean, defensive game.

Cheney at North Central: Kristie McGourin scored 17 points and the Blackhawks (2-0) defeated the Indians (0-2).

North Central was shut out in the first quarter and trailed 28-5 at intermission, but made it a game in the second half. Quincey McDeid scored 16 points and Sativa Rogers added 15 for NC.

Lake City 57, West Valley 39: Nina Carlson had 17 points, Keara Simpson had 15 rebounds and the Timberwolves (4-0) topped the visiting Eagles (1-1).

Hailey Marlow and Kim Koppenstein led West Valley with 12 points apiece.

East Valley 53, Lakeside (WA) 46: Jenesis Wilkinson had 15 points and eight rebounds to help the visiting Knights (1-1) beat the Eagles (0-2).

Post Falls 72, Richland 60: Melody Kempton scored 31 points with six rebounds and the Trojans topped the visiting Bombers.

Bayley Brennan added 12 points for Post Falls, which jumped out to an 18-9 lead after one quarter.

Skyline 70, Coeur d’Alene 50: Jade Loville hit five 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to bust open a close game and Skyline beat the visiting Vikings in Issiquah.

Jade Loville led all scorers with 24 points. CdA’s Kelly Horning had 11 rebounds to go with 21 points.

Colville 53, Lakeland 43: Hayden Hartman led all scorers with 13 points and the visiting Indians (1-0) beat the Hawks (0-3).

Colville came out strong in the third, taking advantage of Lakeland’s foul trouble. Tauna Kirk had 11 for Lakeland.

Kettle Falls 56, Northport 39: Taylor Dunlap scored 18 points and the visiting Bulldogs (2-0) defeated the Mustangs (0-2).

Ashtyn Baribault had 17 points for Northport.

Selkirk 37, Valley Christian 31: Eighth-grader Bree Dawson scored 11 points to lead the visiting Rangers (1-0, 1-0) to victory over the Panthers (0-2, 0-1) in a Northeast 1B league matchup.

Phoebe Trigsted paced Valley Christian with 22 points.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 54, Kittitas 17: Gabi Isaak scored 17 points and the visiting Warriors (1-0) won in Kittitas.

Berlyn Hunt also scored 14 points for the Warriors.

Dayton 46, Oakesdale 38: Jenna Phillips and Shayla Currin scored 18 and 16 points respectively and the visiting Bulldogs (1-0) defeated the Nighthawks (1-1).

Dayton led 30-16 at intermission, but behind Jacey Johnson (23 points), Oakesdale battled back in the second half.

Priest River 26, Riverside 25: Fourth-quarter 3-pointers by Rachel Akre and Melissa Krampert helped the Spartans overcome a five-point deficit and edge the visiting Rams (1-1).

Priest River’s Avery Summers led all scorers with nine points, while Olivia Willis led Riverside with seven.

Springdale 56, Columbia 41: Nichole Beckman went 13 of 18 from the field for 28 points to lead the Chargers (1-1) past the visiting Lions (0-1).

Columbia’s Gabbie Singer was 8 of 14 from the field and 7 of 9 from the line for 26 points.

Tekoa-Rosalia 51, St. John’s-Endicott 37: Tatiana Mendoza led all scorers with 14 and the Timberwolves (1-0) beat the visiting Eagles (0-1).

Alynn Harder and Drew Brewer had 11 points apiece for SJE.

Colton 58, Colfax 37: Meghan Dvorak scored 19 points, Georgia Meyer scored 14 and the visiting Wildcats (1-0) defeated the Bulldogs (0-1).

St. George’s 58, Newport 28: Lydia Bergquist scored 15 points and the Dragons (2-0) beat the visiting Grizzlies (0-2).

Cyndi Lewis and Jocelin Nenema both had 7 points to lead Newport.

Kellogg JV 61, Kootenai 52: Kaylee Gentry led the Warriors with 21 points but Kootenai fell to the visiting Wildcats.

Kootenai got into foul trouble late in the second half and was outscored 27-16 in the fourth quarter.
