Man who drowned in Twin Lakes identified as Seattle resident
Sat., July 2, 2016
The 65-year-old man who drowned in the lower Twin Lake Friday afternoon has been identified as Donald A. Greene of Seattle.
Greene was on a boat with his wife and another couple when he decided to go for a swim. He reportedly swam around for a few minutes before calling for help and vanishing under the water. Bystanders were unable to find him despite repeated efforts and he was found by the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office dive team just before 6 p.m., five hours after he disappeared.
Greene was found in about 19 feet of water. He was not wearing a life jacket and alcohol does not appear to have been a factor, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
