Obama in Seattle this week to raise money for Inslee
President Barack Obama will be the featured speaker at a campaign event for Gov. Jay Inslee this Friday.
The Inslee re-election campaign said details of the event haven’t been nailed down, but current plans call for Obama and Inslee to address a fund-raiser dinner Friday evening at the State Convention Center in Seattle. More information is expected to be released Tuesday.
Obama has been a frequent visitor to the Seattle area during his two terms, often making stops to raise money for his campaigns, or national or state Democratic coffers. As of the most recent deadline for reporting campaign contributions to the state Public Disclosure Commission, Inslee had raised $6.1 million and likely Republican nominee Bill Bryant $1.7 million.
