Bouncer’s jaw broken in fight at Palomino Club

A Spokane man faces felony assault charges after he allegedly punched a bouncer at The Palomino Club, breaking the man’s jaw.

Other employees told police the man, Nathan M. Husser, 36, stole a hat from a vendor at the club early Saturday morning, court documents say. When a bouncer confronted him about it, he pushed the bouncer back, then punched him in the face, witnesses told police.

The bouncer was bleeding profusely and taken to the hospital, court documents say. Doctors told police he had a broken jaw which would require surgery.

In January, an Eastern Washington University student was shot and killed outside The Palomino Club. Three men have been arrested and are facing murder charges.

Husser appeared in court Monday on a second-degree assault charge. He remains in jail in lieu of $1,000 bond.
