Architecture

The American Institute of Architects recently elected the Spokane chapter’s board of directors and officers. The new board is comprised of: President Cody Dompier, NAC Architecture; President-Elect David Buescher, Integrus Architecture; Secretary Becky Blankenship, Leone & Keeble; Treasurer Gale Bevington, ALSC Architects; Director J. Ryan Zane, Bernardo|Wills Architects; and Director Jordan Onley, Uptic Studios.

Education

Stacy M. Pearson has been selected as WSU’s new vice president for Finance and Administration. Pearson previously held the same position at Boise State University for 12 years. Pearson has also worked for the Oregon University System and the Idaho State Board of Education.

Gene Sharratt, a WSU alumnus and former faculty member, received the annual Advocate for Education Award from the University’s College of Education. Sharratt was an assistant and associate professor at WSU’s College of Education for 10 years and has also taught at private and public schools in Washington, Alaska and Norway.

Engineering

Chris Bosley has been hired by the city of Coeur d’Alene as city engineer/lead project manager. In his nearly 20 years in the field, Bosley has focused on geotechnical and transportation engineering. He is currently the chairperson of Coeur d’Alene’s Pedestrian/Bicycle Committee and worked on the Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive Master Plan.

Joe Casebolt has been promoted to director of quality at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. He joined the company in 2001 as an associate software engineer. He has also worked as an engineering manager, development manager and engineering director of the Automation Controllers department.

DCI Engineering promoted Brian DeHann and Justin Hancock to CAD Managers. DeHann has worked at DCI since 2005 as a CAD Designer and Senior Structural CAD Designer/Design Manager and has more than 13 years of CAD experience. Hancock has 12 years of CAD experience at DCI both in Spokane and Austin, Texas, and helped with WSU’s Martin Stadium expansion and Football Operations building.

Finance

John E. Altberg II achieved the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor through The College of Financial Planning. He currently works as a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial in Spokane.

Medical

St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute has been named a Center of Excellence for the hereditary neuropathy patient community by the Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation.

Kootenai Health has received a donation of $9,547 from Chicks N’Chaps, a women-only rodeo clinic, at the North Idaho State Fair and Gem State Stampede for its Cancer Patient Support Fund.

Dr. Ritu Pabby and Dr. Hormoz Solomon have joined the Spokane Allergy & Asthma Clinic. Before joining the clinic, Pabby practiced in Pensacola, Florida, at the Nemours Children’s Clinic and Williamsburg, Virginia’s Allergy Partners of Hampton Roads. Solomon and Pabby are both board certified by the American Board of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Service

Nate Brown has opened Paul Davis Emergency Service of Spokane Valley at 4019 S. Cheney-Spokane Road. The company specializes in residential and commercial restoration, repairs and contents recovery.
