Investigators look for tips related to death of Coeur d’Alene mom and two children

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information from anyone who saw Misty Phelps between 4 p.m. on Nov. 2 and when the she and her two young sons were found dead in Fernan Lake around 11 a.m. on Nov. 3.

Phelps’ submerged silver 2006 Ford Fusion was found submerged at the boat launch by a fisherman. Preliminary autopsy reports state that all three drowned, but investigators will have to wait several weeks for the results of toxicology reports.
