Somebody Needs You

The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents.

The list of requests is coordinated by the Volunteers of America in cooperation with recognized social service agencies in Spokane. If you have an item to donate, contact the social service agency directly. Donors who can deliver items are especially appreciated. If someone you know needs help, contact a local social service agency provider.

Man, 39, who is working on staying clean and sober, needs a flat screen TV. Contact Phillip Leija at Frontier Behavioral Health-PACT, (509) 838-4651, ext. 5209.

Woman, 39, who is disabled and was homeless but has recently gained independent housing, needs a vacuum cleaner, dresser, dining room table with chairs, lamps, TV and DVD player. Contact Leanna Robinson at FBH-Boone Branch, (509) 838-4128.

Veteran, 46, who has a physical disability that causes chronic pain, needs a Swiffer for sweeping and mopping, a rice cooker and a wok as soon as possible. Contact Alyssa Smith at Frontier Behavioral Health, (509) 838-4128.

Parents of preemie need help with infant basics. They need bottles, car seat, preemie clothes, bassinet or Pack n Play, diapers, baby blankets and all other baby necessities. Contact Zelia Elam at PCAP, (509) 981-6519.

Mother of four needs help keeping her children warm. Items needed are a dresser, pots and pans, crock pot, warm blankets, blow dryer and a large rug to aid in insulating efforts. Contact Zelia Elam at PCAP (509) 981-6519.
