Area girls: Faith Adams scores 19 points and East Valley drops Pullman
Faith Adams scored 19 points and visiting East Valley (10-6, 7-1), ranked 10th in state 2A according to the latest RPI rankings, defeated Pullman (3-12, 0-7) 61-33 on Saturday in Great Northern League action.
East Valley jumped out to a 25-9 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Elle Burland added 10 points for the Knights, which maintains a three-game lead in the league.
Carolena Sears scored 12 points to lead Pullman.
Northeast A League
Medical Lake 52, Deer Park 26: Makayla Geiger scored 12 points and the visiting Cardinals (14-2, 10-0) doubled up the Stags (9-7, 6-4).
Jayda Noble scored 11 points and Lexi Redell added nine for Medical Lake, ranked 12th in state 1A.
The Stags were led by Lily Pierce with nine points.
Lakeside (WA) 57, Freeman 33: Hallie Jensen scored 16 points and the Eagles (11-5, 8-2) won their fourth in a row and defeated the visiting Scotties (5-11, 4-6).
Olivia Mikkelsen scored 11 points and Joelle Mahowald added 10 for Lakeside, which used a 19-7 second quarter to take control.
Maggie Bailey led Freeman with eight points.
Chewelah 46, Newport 42: Krislyn Koler scored 15 points and the Cougars (10-5, 6-4) defeated the visiting Grizzlies (4-12, 3-7).
Koler scored all 15 of her points in the second half, including four 3-point field goals. Maggie Cobb added 13 for Chewelah.
Sydni Lewis scored 12 points to lead Newport and Jocelin Nenema added 10.
Colville 47, Riverside 40: Hayden Hartman scored 11 points to help the Indians (4-12, 3-7) defeat the visiting Rams (2-14, 0-10).
Alyssa Fisk added eight points for Colville, which scored seven straight after Riverside had tied it late in the game.
Olivia Willis led the Rams with 11 points.
Northeast 2B
St. George’s 45, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 40: Hailey Higashi scored 10 points and the Dragons (13-2, 10-1), ranked seventh in state 2B, defeated the visiting Broncos (9-6, 7-4).
St. George’s outrebounded LRS 27-17.
Trailing 27-13 at halftime, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague rallied in the second half but came up just short. Peyton Curtis led the Broncos with 15 points and Tessa Jantz had 13.
Colfax 64, Kettle Falls 32: Carmen Gfeller scored 23 points and visiting Colfax (10-5, 9-2) beat Kettle Falls (3-11, 1-9) in the battle of the Bulldogs.
Piper Cai added 12 points for Colfax, ranked 10th in state 2B. Colfax limited Kettle Falls to single digits in each of the four quarters.
Taylor Dunlap led Kettle Falls with eight points.
Wilbur-Creston 50, Asotin 38: Jessi Reed scored 22 points and the Wildcats (8-7, 6-5) topped the visiting Panthers (5-8, 2-8).
Reed gathered 10 of her 22 in the third quarter. W-C led 23-15 at half and Asotin got within two in the third, but W-C pulled away with a 13-8 run in the fourth.
Karlee Maioho added 16 points for Wilbur-Creston, while Ireland Corrigan had nine points with 11 rebounds.
Samantha Nicholas paced Asotin with 11 points and Myka Lee added 10.
Tekoa-Rosalia 57, Springdale 38: Tatiana Mendoza scored 16 points and lifted the visiting Timberwolves (4-10, 2-8) over the Chargers (1-14, 0-11).
Jillian Bruce added 10 points for T-R, which broke things open with a 14-5 fourth quarter.
The Chargers were led by Nichole Beckman with 19 total points.
Northeast 1B
Republic 71, Cusick 29: Shania Graham scored 20 points to help the visiting Tigers (17-1, 13-0) defeat the Panthers (2-13, 2-11).
Lily Beckwith and Michelle VanSlyke scored 14 points apiece and Kailee Rittel added 13 for Republic, ranked sixth in state 1B.
Nicole Spensgar led Cusick with 10 points.
Selkirk 61, Northport 20: Gabi Rick scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Rangers (15-3, 10-3) defeat the visiting Mustangs (3-14, 2-10).
Whitney Dawson also came down with 11 points for fourth-ranked Selkirk, which led 19-7 after the first quarter and 39-10 at intermission.
Inchelium 67, Curlew 46: Meika Heth scored 23 points to lift the Hornets (8-7, 6-6) past the visiting Cougars (8-8, 6-7).
Jaylene Lelone added 15 points and Rylee Desautel scored 11 points for Inchelium, which used a 24-8 second-quarter run to open it up.
The Cougars were led by Annaliese Fanning with 14 points.

Lexi Nelson led Columbia with 10 points.

Colton 51, Touchet 18 : Dakota Patchen scored 13 points and the Wildcats (13-2, 8-1) defeated the visiting Indians (2-4, 2-4).
Colton, ranked first in state 1B, held Touchet to just three points in the second half. Jordyn Moehrle had 12 points and Abby Kelly added 11.
Dana Jagger scored nine points to pace Touchet.
Oakesdale 79, Prescott 23: Jacey Johnson scored 26 points with six assists and the Nighthawks (13-3, 8-1) beat the visiting Tigers (0-7, 0-7).
Anna Hockett scored 13 points with seven rebounds and Logan Reed added 10 points and eight boards. Oakesdale, ranked eighth in state 1B, scored 20 or more points in each of the first three quarters.
Prescott was led by Bianca Flores with eight points.
Pomeroy 67, St. John-Endicott 24: Madison Dixon scored 15 points and the visiting Pirates (7-2, 6-2) defeated the Eagles (1-12, 1-7).
Deana Caruso added 10 points for Pomeroy, which scored 25 points in the second and limited SJ-E to single digits in all four quarters.
Alynn Harder paced St. John-Endicott with six points.
Garfield-Palouse 38, Waitsburg 22: Katie Arrasmith scored in 16 points with seven rebounds and the visiting Vikings (5-7, 5-5) defeated the Cardinals (1-6, 0-3).
Payson Griner finished with 13 points, nine rebounds and five steals for G-P.
Devon Harshman led Waitsburg with six points.
