BBB warns of advertising scam in the Northwest
The Better Business Bureau has issued a warning about a company claiming to be based out of Vancouver, Washington, that is targeting businesses across the country, including Washington and Oregon.
An Anchorage tourism business lost $1,500 when offered advertising services by Core Brand Solutions, the BBB said in a news release Thursday. The Anchorage business was contacted about advertising on hotel key card jackets.
The sleeves and cards were never delivered, according to the BBB, and the company claimed to have gone out of business. Other businesses have had similar experiences with Core Brand Solutions, the BBB said.
Core Brand Solutions is part of a web of companies that include Velocity Marketing Partners, Tourist Trapper Marketing LLC and Guided Guest.
