Game 54: The Seattle Mariners (24-29) host the Colorado Rockies (33-21) on Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. at Safeco Field.

The game signals the start of an 11-game homestand coming off an eight-game roadie through Washington, Boston, and Colorado where the M’s did well to tread water (4-4) after starting the trip 1-3.

On Tuesday in the last of the road trip, the M’s pummeled the Rockies 10-4 as Kyle Seager hit a two-run homer and added a two-run double, while Jean Segura went 4 for 6. It was Segura’s 20th multi-hit effort of the season in 41 games played. In his last 33 games, Segura is hitting .380.

Wednesday’s affair also marks the return James Paxton to the hill for the M’s. The big lefty has been out since May 5 with a left forearm strain. He made on rehab appearance at AA Arkansas and allowed two runs on five hits, including a home run, while striking out five over four innings against Frisco.
