Morning prep roundup: Strong showing from GSL cross country teams at Richland Invite

Lewis and Clark won the boys team title at the Max Jensen Richland Invitational at Richland HS on Saturday. Wil Smith led the Bears, placing 11th with a time of 14 minutes, 57.52 seconds.

It was a strong showing overall from the boys of the Greater Spokane League as Central Valley finished second, North Central sixth and Mead ninth.

For the girls, North Central and Lewis and Clark finished first and second respectively in Richland.

Katie Thronson of Lewis and Clark was first overall at 17:10.54 and Erinn Hill of North Central finished second (17:37.57).
