Gonzaga student dies in Logan neighborhood

A 19-year-old Gonzaga student died at on off-campus residence Thursday, according to the Gonzaga Bulletin student newspaper.

Spokane Police and Gonzaga campus security responded to the death of Christopher Martin in the Logan neighborhood, according to the student newspaper, which cited an email to the undergraduate community from the GU Division of Student Development.

Police did not release a cause of death but noted that there is no threat to the Gonzaga campus and surrounding area.

Gonzaga sent an e-mail to its undergraduates Thursday confirming Martin’s death. A vigil service was held Thursday night at the University Chapel.
