Woman dies in motorcycle crash after leaving bar

A woman riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle died after colliding head-on with a car in Spokane Valley Thursday.

The woman, who has not been named by authorities, had just left Cruisers Bar and was traveling west on Appleway, according to a Spokane County Sheriff’s news release. Investigators believe she crossed over the center line and collided head on with a eastbound Volkswagen Jetta around 10:50 p.m.

The woman died on the scene. Investigators believe she was impaired and driving too fast.

The female driver of the Jetta was uninjured, cooperative and showed no signs of impairment, according to the news release.
