Student arrested in Colfax after threats to school

Officers took a juvenile suspect into custody after a counselor at Colfax High School reported social media posts threatening violence, KHQ reported Thursday night.

The juvenile, who is a student at the school, allegedly posted a message to social media reading “I’m going to shoot up the school,” the channel reported.

Although the juvenile is now in custody, all firearms were removed from their house as a precaution.

Authorities say there currently is no danger the school or public, KHQ reported.
