Softball roundup: Mattea Nelson drives in seven runs, Northwest Christian coasts past Naches Valley

Northwest Christian 25, Naches Valley 1 (GM1): Mattea Nelson drove in seven runs on three hits and the Crusaders beat the Rangers.

Northwest Christian 13, Naches Valley 3 (GM2): Alison Shaler struck out nine in a one-hit complete game and the Crusaders defeated the Rangers.

Cheney 7, Sandpoint 4: Meghan Krantz launched a two-run shot and the Blackhawks defeated the Bulldogs.

Greater Spokane League

Shadle Park 19, Ferris 3: Meghan Keenan allowed three runs across five innings and the Highlanders defeated the Saxons.

Northeast 2B

Liberty 11, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 10 (GM1): Jaidyn Stephens hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning, and the Lancers held off the Broncos. Alisha Baker led the Broncos with a double and a triple.

Liberty 4, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 2 (GM2): Cheyanne Gleave hit a two-run homer in the third inning, and the Lancers defeated the Broncos. Emma Aldrich notched two hits for the LRS.

Northeast 1B

Selkirk 15, Curlew 1 (GM1): Aralee Robertson pitched a complete game, giving up only one run, and went 3 for 4 with two triples five RBIs.

Northport 17, Republic 1 (GM1).

Northport 22, Republic 2 (GM2).

Southeast 1B

Colton 11, Garfield-Palouse 0 (GM1): Emily Schultheis pitched a complete scoreless game with nine strikeouts, allowing only two hits, and the Wildcats blanked the Vikings.

Colton 20, Garfield-Palouse 0 (GM2): Josie Schultheis pitched a no-hitter and the Wildcats defeated the Vikings. Jordyn Moehrle went 2 for 2 with a homer and five RBIs.

Idaho

Lake City 5, Lewiston 0 (GM1): Ashley Kaufman struck out nine batters and the Timberwolves defeated the Bengals in a 5A Inland Empire League game

Lake City 20, Lewiston 3 (GM2): Reilley Chapman drove in five runs on four hits and the Timberwolves defeated the Bengals.
