Grant County Sheriff’s Office searching for suspect in fatal hit and run

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a driver suspected of hitting and killing a pedestrian Friday morning between Quincy and Ephrata before speeding away.

Kyle Foreman, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said deputes were called to the area of Road 9-Northwest and Road 1.5 Northwest, where they found a body lying on the roadway. The man, whose identity has not yet been confirmed by investigators, was declared dead at the scene.

Near the body were pieces from a vehicle, Foreman said, indicating the suspected vehicle likely sustained front end damage.
