Boys basketball: Jobi Gelder scores 34 points to lead undefeated Deer Park over Riverside

Jobi Gelder scored a game high 34 points to lead undefeated Deer Park (16-0, 8-0) over visiting Riverside (4-11, 0-7) 65-39 on Friday. Isaak Burglund scored 11 points and Chase Wisinger added 10 points for the Stags. Cody Zeinert scored 12 points for the Rams.

Medical Lake 64, Colville 42: Nicholas Mason scored 17 points and the visiting Cardinals (5-11, 3-5) beat the Indians (3-13, 1-7). Alex Stith scored 10 points for Medical Lake. Kobe Cunningham scored 17 points and Jacob Lindquist added 13 points for Colville.

Newport 60, Lakeside (WA) 50: Michael Owen scored 17 points and the visiting Grizzlies (13-1, 7-1) defeated the Eagles (10-6, 5-3). Micah Holmes led Lakeside with 15 points.

Great Northern

Cheney 50, East Valley 45: Kaiden Custer scored 17 points and the visiting Blackhawks (9-6, 4-3) defeated the Knights (2-14, 0-8). Adreyan Hargrave led East Valley with 19 points. Thomas Baycroft added 12 points for Cheney.

West Valley 60, Pullman 57: Nick Drynan scored 24 points and the Eagles (11-4, 4-3) defeated the Greyhounds (13-2, 5-2). Bryan Andrews acored 18 points for West Valley. Jacob Wells scored a game high 25 points to lead Pullman.

Chewelah 69, Davenport 51: Carl Oman scored 23 points and Jeron Baldwin added 20 points and the Cougars (7-8, 2-3) defeated the Gorillas (4-9, 2-3). Jake George scored 12 points and Nick Franks added 10 points for Chewelah. A.J. Floyd scored 23 points to lead Davenport.

Colfax 58, Asotin 42: Carson Cloaninger scored 21 points and the Bulldogs (11-4, 5-1) defeated the Panthers (9-7, 1-5). Thomas Martin scored 11 points for Asotin.

Liberty 63, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 54: Isaak Ottmar scored 16 points and Tayshawn Colvin and Van Ricker added 14 apiece and the Lancers (9-6, 5-1) beat the visiting Mustangs (6-9, 2-4). Drew Kelly led Lind-Ritzville/Sprague with 17 points and Spencer Gering added 15.

St. George’s 54, Northwest Christian 43: Ben Adams scored 24 points and the visiting Dragons (14-2, 7-0) defeated the Crusaders (10-6, 4-3). Kobe Simpson led Northwest Christian with 13 points. Xander Werkman added 14 points for St. George’s.

Reardan 57, Tekoa-Rosalia 51: Zane Perleberg scored 17 points to lead the Indians (7-7, 2-4) over the visiting Timberwolves (11-4, 3-3). Andrew Aslept added 14 points for Reardon. Craig Mueller scored 16 points for Tekoa-Rosalia.

Wilbur-Creston 60, Kettle Falls 47: Brayden Seylor scored 19 points and Kasen Bodeau added 18 points and the Wildcats (5-7, 1-5) beat the visiting Bulldogs (7-9, 2-4). Matt Thompson led Kettle Falls with 20 points.

Wellpinit 76, Columbia 55: Kobe Stearns and Brendan Andrew scored 15 points apiece and the Redskins (7-8, 6-4) defeated the Lions (3-11, 2-7). Ryan Reynolds scored 14 and Corbin Nelson scored 13 points for Columbia.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 65, Odessa 62: Hayden Loomis hit three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and scored 16 points as the Warriors (10-3, 7-1) dug out of an early hole to hand the visiting Tigers (12-1, 8-1) their first loss of the season in a conference showdown. Maguire Isaak scored a team-high 28 points for Almira/Coulee-Hartline. Ryan Moffet scored 29 points and Marcus King 18 points for Odessa.

Curlew 55, Northport 45: Jacob Mills scored 13 points with eight rebounds and the Cougars (4-7, 4-6) beat the visiting Mustangs (1-14, 1-10). Lane Olson scored 11 points for Curlew. Trenton Baribault led Northport with nine points.

Inchelium 78, Republic 37: Brenton Swan scored 18 points and the Hornets (10-6, 7-3) defeated the Tigers (0-15, 0-11). Jacob Flett scored 11 points and Lonnie Simpson added 10 points for Inchelium. Davis Jensen scored 20 points for Republic.

Selkirk 68, Valley Christian 31: Jay Link scored 15 points and the Rangers (9-7, 8-3) bested the visiting Panthers (7-8, 4-6). Justin Krabbenhoft added 12 points for Selkirk. Isaac Trigstad led Valley Christian with 10 points.

Southeast 1B

Garfield-Palouse 50, Colton 29: Ely Hawkins scored 14 points and the Vikings (9-7, 7-1) defeated the Wildcats (7-9, 3-5). Parker Druffel scored 18 points to lead Colton.

Oakesdale 54, Pomeroy 30: Evan Henning drained all four of his 3-point attempts and scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Nighthawks (10-6, 7-1) past the visiting Pirates (4-8, 2-5). Kieron Anderson added 11 points for Oakesdale. Jace Gwinn led Pomeroy with nine points.

Idaho

Post Falls 72, Coeur d’Alene 60: Colby Gennett’s buzzer-beating 3-pointer tied the game at the end of regulation and the Trojans (13-6, 4-0) dominated bonus time to edge the visiting Vikings (10-5, 2-2). Caden McLean scored 19 points and Cole Rutherford 16 points for Post Falls. Kale Edwards scored 14 points, Drew Hostetter and Gavin Margo scored 11points apiece for Coeur d’Alene.

Lewiston 73, Lake City 66: Dylan Johnson scored 23 points and Donaven Santana added 20 and the visiting Bengals (5-8, 1-2) beat the Timberwolves (2-12, 0-3). Josh Stellflug led Lake City with 21 points and Jack Kiesbuy added 15 points with nine rebounds and six assists.

Lakeland 66, Sandpoint 43: Jalen Skalskiy scored 23 points and the Hawks (5-8, 1-1) defeated the Bulldogs (6-7, 0-2). Josiah Haaland added 14 points for Lakeland. Alexander Stockton scored 22 points to lead Sandpoint.

Moscow 64, Kellogg 34: Gabe Quinnett scored 28 points and the Bears (12-2) defeated the visiting Wildcats (2-11). Tyrele Davis, Brandon Miller and Graden Nearing led Moscow with seven points apiece.
