Gonzaga men’s basketball has been selected as one of the recipients of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Awards.

The Zags earned the recognition for the third straight season and the fourth time in the program’s seven years. Teams honored must have at least a 3.0 grade-point average.

The Bulldogs finished with a 3.17 GPA. GU and BYU were the only WCC teams honored. Gonzaga was the only program honored that reached at least the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Zags lost to Texas Tech in the Elite Eight.
