A body pulled from the Spokane River over the weekend near Division Street is that of Richard G. Coffee, a 56-year-old man reported missing in May, the Spokane County Medical Examiner ruled.

Coffee’s cause and manner of death are currently pending.

Spokane police say Coffee was reported missing on May 11 after he was last seen at about 9 p.m. in the area of the Walmart at 9212 N. Colton St. in north Spokane.

He was pulled from the river at about 11 a.m. Saturday east of the Division Street Bridge.
