Due to concerns about the coronavirus, MultiCare Health Systems has canceled the MultiCare Heart Strings concert, which was scheduled to take place Thursday at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox.

“We, like you, were looking forward to this event to raise money to help those in our community with cancer,” MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation executive director Carolyn Kadyk said in a news release. “We thank the talented artists for their willingness to participate, and we thank the thousands of you in our community who bought tickets and make this such a special annual event.”

Those who purchased tickets will receive a refund, and all sponsorship money will be returned. There are currently no plans to reschedule the event, which was to feature Deana Carter, Wade Hayes, Craig Campbell and Bryan White.

Spokane Symphony public relations manager Alison Highberger said in an email there are no plans to cancel any other events at the Fox.
