Singer Tavia Smith of Spokane auditions on ABC’s “American Idol” tonight in front of the all-star judging panel of Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.

With untapped talent still waiting to be discovered, the long-running, star-making series – Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson and Adam Lambert, just to name a handful – returned with an all-new season on Feb. 16.

Along with superstars Bryan, Perry and Richie, Emmy Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest has returned as host along with multimedia personality Bobby Bones, a longtime country radio host and “Dancing With the Stars” champion, as in-house mentor.

“American Idol” airs at 8 p.m. PT on ABC. Tune in and cheer on our local “American Idol” hopeful!
