Man, 80, killed in Stevens County collision

A crash 5 miles north of Loon Lake killed one driver and sent another to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center with injuries.

Everett Reynolds, 80, of Addy, was driving his 2003 Ford Ranger Wednesday around 7:15 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center line and struck a 2018 Ford Explorer, according to a Washington State Patrol report.

Matthew Miller, 39, of Deer Park, was driving the Explorer. Both cars were totaled. Miller was transported to Spokane with injuries. Reynolds was dead at the scene.

Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors, and both drivers were wearing seatbelts, the report said.
