Purple for a Purpose – The Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Coalition, along with Stop the Silence Spokane, has created Purple for a Purpose for Domestic Violence Awareness for the month of October. Purple for a Purpose has partnered with over 100 local businesses, restaurants, bars and coffee houses. A portion of sales from this event will go directly to support domestic violence victims in the Spokane community. Try a Purple for a Purpose location this month. Over the Edge – Habitat for Humanity-Spokane – Over the Edge is an opportunity to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity’s mission while earning the chance to rappel down the tallest building in Spokane. Sock-tober Dash – Fifth annual Sock-tober Dash and Fun Run to raise money for children and teenagers in Spokane. Bring new and unopened socks and underwear to donate. All proceeds will benefit Teen and Kid Closet. Snacks will be provided at the finish line and prizes will be given to the best and worst socks. River Wish Summer Tours – Guided tour of River Wish Sanctuary, all proceeds go benefit River Wish Sanctuary.
