4 A Winter Market at the Quarry – A festive holiday market at the Quarry, featuring local food, winter produce, artisan goods, demonstrations and seasonal samples. 5 Davenport Hotel Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – Join at 6 p.m. for the magical tree lighting ceremony, a cherished tradition that transforms the Davenport into a winter wonderland. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. with holiday fun for all ages. Friday. The Davenport Hotel, 10 S. Post St. Admission: Free.

6 33rd Annual Lighting Ceremony Parade – Watch as the parade entries light up Sherman Avenue as they bring the Holiday Spirit with marching bands, dancing, music and festive floats. The lighting ceremony and fireworks directly follow the parade. 5 p.m. Friday. Downtown Coeur d’Alene, Eighth and Sherman. Admission: Free.

7 A Very Merry Monroe – Holiday kickoff celebration, sip, shop and stroll. Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus at Bellwether Brewing from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Enjoy cocoa (Indaba) and cookies (Lunarium) as you shop local and admire festive windows. One-day Tree Lot in the Hearn Bros lot by The Hutton Settlement. Hours vary. Continues Saturdays through Dec. 20. The North Monroe Business District. Admission: Free.
