Velocity shut out Charlotte

The Spokane Velocity had just two shots on target Friday, but they made the most of the only one they needed.

Pierre Reedy scored in the 87th minute to lift the Velocity to a 1-0 win over the Charlotte Independence in a USL League One match in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Spokane improved to 13-6-7 and Charlotte slipped to 9-11-7.

Charlotte had nine shots on target but couldn’t convert.
