WALeg Week 5 on tap: Guns, helmets, 75 mph. And of course, the WSU med school

Plenty of topics on the legislative hearing agenda, including five proposals to change the I-594 gun laws  in Senate Law and Justice Monday.

Proposals to drop motorcycle helmet requirements for those 18 and over, and to toughen texting- and talking-while-driving penalties are in Senate Transportation Monday.

The WSU medical school bill could get a vote in House Higher Education Tuesday.

A proposal to raise the speed limit on I-90 to 75 mph in rural areas comes up in House Transportation Thursday.
