Yakima judge will hear Condon recall case today 

Mayor David Condon is not expected to be in the courtroom Tuesday afternoon. Superior Court Judge Blaine Gibson, of Yakima County, is scheduled to decide if a recall petition from local Democratic organizer and accountant David Green can move forward to the signature-collecting phase.

The Spokane Home Builders Association, a trade group representing construction interests, has some harsh words for the settlement agreement the county signed with neighborhood groups over urban growth issues. "It looks like they're kind of giving away the farm," said Michael Cathcart, government affairs director for the organization.
