WALeg Day 30: Med school bills in two committees

OLYMPIA -- The House version of the WSU medical school bill is scheduled for a vote in that chamber's Higher Education Committee this morning. The parallel version of the bill is scheduled for a vote in the Senate Higher Ed Committee in the afternoon.

Executive action schedules are tentative -- the House committee had it on last Friday's schedule and didn't get to it, and has it scheduled later in the week, just in case they run out of time. We'll update as news warrants.

Also on tap in this full day of hearings is a bill i the House State Government Committee that would allow law enforcement officers to be charged with trespass if they are on private property except on specified official duties. A slew of alcohol related changes could get votes in House Commerce and Gaming. Gov. Jay Inslee's carbon reduction proposal could get a vote in House Environment.
